I find all this very funny. Every single time I find myself in the kitchen with the radio switched on, all I get is the combination of those three. However long I stay in the kitchen, even if it’s just rinsing a plate or toasting some crumpets, they’re there! It happened once, twice, OK, three times but today was out of this world! I went in maybe 4 times for no more than 15 minutes per slot spent literally doing something in the kitchen and I got Bad Boys twice, Paparazzi once and I Gotta Feeling twice as well. My flatmate had such a good laugh when he realized I was actually paying attention in order to count the songs! ha ha

Driving in Great Britain for EU driving licence holders

For those of you who are asking around on the validity of a Romanian driving licence in the UK, here’s a piece of info that might come in handy:
Students from a community country
List of EC/EEA Countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom.
- if you are a student holding a community licence you may drive cars and motorcycles in Great Britain (GB) for as long as your licence remains valid, or until age 70
Also, there is a possibility to exchange your driving licence with a GB one. Here’s how:
Taking a driving test
If you want to take a British driving test you must be a resident in GB. However, if you have moved to GB having recently been a permanent resident in another state of the EC/EEA, you must be a resident in GB for 185 days in the 12 months before your application for a driving test and full licence.
To take a GB driving test you will need to either:
- apply for a GB counterpart licence (D58/2) by completing a D9 enclosing your community driving licence
- exchange your community licence for the British equivalent and request the appropriate provisional entitlement
A provisional licence document is issued free of charge. However, the appropriate fee must be paid and your community licence surrendered in exchange for a GB one when claiming the full entitlement.

Sfat pentru Gardenia

Am descoperit cum să menţin Gardenia şi cum să sporesc înflorirea bobocilor! Când am cumpărat ghiveciul, fermecată de verdele puternic al frunzelor în perfect contrast cu petalele alb-catifelate şi cu un parfum aparte, m-am documentat şi am observat că lumea se plânge de planta asta pentru că este foarte dificil de întreţinut. În general, nu infloreşte a doua oară şi sunt cazuri în care nici măcar bobocii nu ajung să se deschidă. Ei bine, am găsit o soluţie pentru asta.
La fiecare 3-4 zile, în apa cu care udaţi planta, stoarceţi o jumătate de lămâie, nu mai mult. Udaţi la rădăcina şi veţi vedea că florile se deschid rând pe rând, puternice şi vioaie!

Dear God,
Please do not allow me to go out the door without my mobile anymore. I’d rather go out wearing silk dress and slippers than actually leaving my phone behind. The trouble one goes through if stuff happens, unbelievable!!
